Student Literacy Programme in Kilrush Library

Kilrush Community College, in conjunction with Kilrush Public Library, has devised a literacy programme for students undertaking the Junior Cert Schools Programme. This programme outlines various weekly assignments for students including a Reading Diary, Word Chain, Book Reviews and Research Activities, some of which must be carried out at the library. Each student is given their own bound activity book and both teachers and parents regularly assess their progress.
