"The event, raced over five days in County Clare last September, was the biggest and most successful in the 28 year history of international women's bike racing in Ireland featuring riders from 13 countries representing teams from ten different nations. Four current national champions rode the race which also included several riders honing their fitness ahead of the world road race championships in Tuscany. The race was comprised of six separate stages over five days including four road stages, a circuit race and a team time trial. The riders raced on some of the most scenic roads in Munster in a series of epic encounters with the destination of the final pink leader's jersey in doubt right to the end of the final stage."
