A list of soldiers from the Kilrush and North Clare areas can be viewed on Clare County Library’s website. There are also stories of individuals from Clare who took part in the Great War, e.g. Peter Vaughan from Moy and the Connoles and Hallorans from Ennistymon.

County Clare and The Great War
Ireland's World War I Memorial Records, which provide information on the 49,647 Irish soldiers who died in the Great War, have been updated and made available online. It follows a collaborative project between Google, In Flanders Fields Museum in Ypres in Belgium and the Department of Foreign Affairs. The records were originally compiled by the Committee of the Irish National War Memorial. Records of Clare soldiers can be retrieved by searching for ‘Co Clare’ here.
